The Position

Maintain and organize records required for regulatory and customer compliance. Write procedures and guides to be used by internal employees to properly execute food safety and quality requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Maintain food safety and quality documents for efficient and effective 3rd party and regulatory review

• Draft and coordinate internal review internal documents

• Compile and organize supplier documentation

• Take consumer inquiries verbally and electronically regarding product quality. Compile information. Provide reports.

• Compile and organize training records

• Provide periodic reports using spreadsheets and databases on key performance measures

• Observe and document production floor practices and methods

• Participate with internal and external audits

• Independently conduct internal food safety and quality program and record audits

• Work independently without immediate supervision

• Participating member of Food Safety Team

• Participating member of internal Process Improvement Team

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Essential

• Proficient with MS Access and Excel.

• Proficient technical writing skill.

• Great attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication skills.

• Good computer skills

• Good math aptitude

***Desirable

• BS or BA degree.

• Technical writing experience in a regulated environment

• Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand up to 8 hours.

• Able to conduct computer data entry for up to 8 hours.

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs

Working Environment

• Typical manufacturing facility environment, loud noises, moving equipment.

• The job is hands-on and requires person to be in facility with significant time communicating with operational team members.
