Line Worker

The Position

We currently have an immediate opening for an entry level Line Worker. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food manufacturing industry.

Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. This position may include overtime hours.

Hourly Rate: $16.00

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with excellent chances for advancement within our company.

In this position, you will be responsible for working on a variety of lines in both our processing and packaging areas.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain a minimum rate of 30 to 45 bags per minute while boxing product to keep up with machine speed

• Fill cases or trays with correct number of packages

• Perform quality checks to verify proper film, case, WIP

• Verify for correct date code, seal integrity, hanger hole, zipper function and overall package appearance

• Verify proper placement of labels to customer specifications

• Promptly inform operator of any issues including improper product, foreign materials, or issues with packaging or labels

• Operate Kwik Lock machine

• Palletize product to the specified pattern

• Independently conduct changeovers per work instructions

• Independently conduct cleans per work instructions

• Assist with weighing/measuring product

• Lift and dump product weighing up to 50 pounds

• Assist with manual mixing of product using large paddles

• Use manual pallet jack to safely move products throughout production facility

Qualifications:

· One year in a manufacturing setting with packaging experience preferred

· Able to effectively speak, read and write English

· Ability to safely work in a fast-paced work environment

· Able to independently follow written work instructions

· Previous pallet jack experience desired

· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Ability to climb stairs frequently while carrying products or buckets up and down stairs

· Ability to stand or walk up to 8 hours

· Food manufacturing experience preferred
