New Product Development Manager
Job Summary: Responsible for development and execution of New Product Development (NPD) projects and launches. Responsible for ensuring strategic, robust new product pipeline and effective and efficient processes to deliver the pipeline. Collaboratively develops NPD strategies, cross-functionally leads technical execution of new products that meet Brand and Quality standards.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Drive the new product development process from concept through launch, including research, concept development, project management, presentation, and final execution.
Generate ideas, review feasibility, and conduct proof of concept activities that answer market needs and reasonably translate into valuable products.
Possess Project Management skills and experience including the activities of creating a team environment, establishing milestones and technical targets, scheduling and tracking progress, and escalating issues toward resolution.
Develop Product Profiles defining full concept, product features, benefits/claims, development parameters and key ingredients to present to key cross-functional teams.
Partner with Marketing and Sales on developing business cases for new products; build performance metrics to help advise future development strategies.
Work closely with Procurement to evaluate formula submissions and provide feedback and re-directs and select submissions to be presented back to key stakeholders.
Collaborate cross functionally to assist and/or fulfill day-to-day product development initiatives and communicate effectively across departments to relay project updates and changes.
Facilitate brainstorming sessions with cross-functional team members to align on product reviews, timelines and launch plans.
Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting.
Understand the competitive landscape and focus on market trends, consumer preferences, and business strategies that can be converted into new or improved innovative product concepts.
Lead direct report/s through open communication and setting clear objectives, goals, and expectations.
Manage departmental administrative activities, budget, and human resources responsibilities.
Understand current processes and seek to continuously improve those processes and architect new processes.
Oversee packaging and label updates related to brand updates, ingredients, nutritional fact panels, nutritional call outs, etc.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree
At least four (4) years’ experience in New Product Development management within consumer-packaged goods, food and beverage, beauty, health and wellness or pharmaceuticals (snack food product development preferred).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Manual dexterity to operate keyboard, mouse and other office equipment.
Visual acuity to view documents and computer screen.
Ability to perform work in a sitting position for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform other job functions
Ability to move around facility with occasional lifting.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
