Production Lead

Position Summary

The Production Lead will be responsible for providing clear direction, leadership and support to our production team members to achieve a consistent and high-quality product.  This position will be key to nurturing a positive and safe work culture.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Direct the work of production team members following the daily production schedule

·         Ensure work is being performed in accordance with standard operating procedures

·         Work collaboratively with other departments and cross-functional teams to coordinate activities between departments

·         Ensure all necessary paperwork, inspections and cleans are completed in compliance with all food safety, quality and sanitation procedures

·         Oversee and assist with training of both new and existing employees

·         Participate in employee performance review process

·         Help employees succeed through coaching and performance management

·         Support team in identifying and overcoming obstacles

·         Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of processes and have the ability to step in and run lines as needed

·         Foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to identify issues and suggest solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the Company

·         Uphold our Company core values and promote a positive work culture

·         Promote a safe working environment by ensuring safe work habits

Education and Experience

·         Our ideal candidate will have 2 – 5 years in a production leadership role, preferably in a food processing facility

·         Ability to lead and motivate a team

·         Strong computer skills including working knowledge of ERP systems

·         Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

·         Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Working Environment

Typical manufacturing facility, potential to exposure to loud noises, moving equipment, potential exposure to chemicals, dust, or hot/cold areas.
